  1. 1831 The Genesis

    Takashimaya was founded in Kyoto, establishing a foundational heritage built on absolute trust.
  2. 1878 The Interior Beginning

    Opened a dedicated carpet store in Kyoto, officially marking Takashimaya's entry into the interior design business.
  3. 1913 Establishing the Design Department

    Established the Takashimaya Design Studio, professionalizing spatial planning and architectural aesthetics.
  4. 1939 Takashimaya Kousakusho

    Founded “Takashimaya Kousakusho” in Osaka, cementing a respected legacy of master interior craftsmanship and precision manufacturing.
  5. 1993 Global Expansion

    Opened Takashimaya Singapore, a landmark in international luxury retail and global spatial expansion.
  6. 2001 The Birth of Takashimaya Space Create

    Merged Takashimaya Kousakusho with Takashimaya's Interior Construction Division to form Takashimaya Space Create Co., Ltd.
  7. 2016 The Vietnam Chapter

    Launched Ho Chi Minh City Takashimaya at Saigon Centre, delivering world-class experience and refined Japanese hospitality.
  8. 2025 → A New Chapter

    Establishing Takashimaya Interior Vietnam, combining century-old expertise with world-class residential spaces and premium FF&E.
